What do you do during the Worship Residency? Study God’s word daily, learn to sing the bible, grow in the presence of the Lord, learn to sit at the feet of Jesus, travel leading worship, live in community, record music, lead worship camps and write songs from the Bible.
Does it cost to apply? No. The application process is totally free.
Who are we looking for? Any young adult ages 18-25 who has a hunger to grow as a worship leader, singer, songwriter, and musician, and who has a passion for following Jesus.
When and where is it? June 2 - August 2, 2024, hosted at the Presence Worship school in Newton, KS. You will live in community with the Presence Worship team. We will travel to 5 different states throughout the summer.
What is the cost? If selected, each worship resident will be responsible for $1,700 of the tuition cost. Our total cost for each student is about $6,000, but we have generous donors who have helped to cover the other portion of your tuition. This includes all of your housing. *Not all meals are provided for you during the summer. We have several family meals at the Presence school but you will need to plan to pay for meals on the road and some meals at the school. We suggest bringing a minimum of $500 for food during the summer.
Will we write and record music during the summer Residency? Yes. We will write and record songs throughout the summer, some of which will go on a summer 2024 EP.
Will I be responsible for housing and meal expenses? This summer, you will learn about the heart of worship, and you will grow in your identity, calling and gifting as a worshipper. You will receive both in-person and video teaching from some of the leading voices in the worship movement on spiritual formation, music theory, theology, songwriting, prophetic worship, leadership and discipleship. We desire for every leader to love Jesus first in the secret place behind closed doors. We believe this will change the way we lead in the public place. These weeks are designed to help those called to be shepherds become better equipped to serve the Kingdom of God.
This residency is uniquely designed to give a holistic approach to being a presence-based leader for the Kingdom of God in connection with serving in the local church. What that means is a leader obedient to the Holy Spirit. Our greatest hope for this residency is that you will learn to sit at the feet of Jesus and love the Lord your God with everything! You will have the opportunity in partnership with many local churches in the heartland to grow in your understanding of God’s Kingdom mission and purpose. You will have opportunity to minsiter before the Lord in a prayer room during the summer. We will also lead worship in many contexts and cities, experiencing different cultures in which you will grow in diversity as a worship leader/musician partnering with kingdom-minded leaders.
As you are being poured into, you will also have the opportunity to pour out through equipping younger worship leaders during our Student Worship Equipping camps. Each worship resident will have the opportunity to teach, lead and serve at our Presence Worship camps throughout the summer.

Our next summer Residency starts on June 2 of 2024 and goes until August 2. We will be based in Newton, KS, at the Presence Worship school. This is a full-time commitment and will take 8 weeks of your summer. You will not be able to work a job or have other commitments during this time. So, if the Lord gives you a “yes,” we ask that you go all in with Presence. Upon approval from the Presence Worship board, the cost for residency will be $1,700. You will have to pay a $500 deposit by April 1 to secure your spot as a resident, then the rest of the tuition is due upon arrival. This cost covers living expenses, travel, books and food provided at the school for the residents. Our application deadline is March 31, 2023.

Ideal Presence Worship Residency candidates are 18-25 years olds who have a passion and skill to worship the Lord through music. We do not limit our search to enrolled college students. We are seeking those who are desiring to give their lives to prayer and worship through song.
What is the Presence Worship Camp?
Presence Worship camp is focused on equipping the next generation of singers and musicians in 6th - 12th grade. We host 3-day camps and week-long overnight camps for high school students.
